Led by Sonata, in 2010 Hyundai will beat record sales

This year will go down as a turning point for Hyundai, typically for the better and one car will remembered above all others. Sure, Sonata is the flagship of the brand, but this is the year that car was so remarkably redesigned that Hyundai is at present officially announcing that it sold more than 200,000 Sonatas in North America. Led by Sonata, Hyundai will sell more than 530,000 vehicles in the U.S. this year, a proof for the brand.

"Sonata has delivered some pretty incredible outcome for us this year," says John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai Motor America. "Sonata is the Hyundai brand and it's suitable that it has led our top year ever."

Sonata achieved 35-mpg highway rating for a non-hybrid, a notable 33-mpg highway rating for 2.0T (which packs 274 horsepower) and a best-ever 40-mpg highway rating for the penetrate Sonata Hybrid traits industry-first lithium-polymer battery technology.
